A decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models in 1:48 scale for a model of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 in the F-8 version. According to the name it holds two camouflage schemes. It is neither a kit nor a finished model: it is an accessory in its own right with which you mark a model built from a separately sold set.
The Fw 190 F-8 was the ground attack version derived from the A-8 fighter variant. Against the fighter pattern it received strengthened armor around the pilot and the lower airframe and racks for bomb loads under the fuselage and the wing. The aircraft was powered by an air-cooled two-row BMW 801 radial engine, thanks to which the type has its characteristic short, bulky nose with a cooling fan behind the propeller. Ground attack machines were more often exposed to operations from field strips, which on a model shows in heavier weathering of the landing gear and the lower surfaces.
The base has to be smooth and glossy: once the camouflage is finished, spray the model with gloss clear coat, otherwise silvery microbubbles will appear under the film. Cut the design out as close to the printing as possible, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and let it rest until it begins to slide freely on the backing. A decal softener will draw the film onto the engraved lines and onto the pronounced panel joints on the fuselage. Once dry, seal everything with matte varnish and only then lay on the dust and mud effects.
