A waterslide decal sheet from the Hungarian manufacturer HAD models for models of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 F-8 ground attack version in 1:48 scale. The F-8 version came from the Fw 190 fighter and was adapted to work over the battlefield and to carry bomb loads. The sheet is an accessory for a model that is already built and painted, not a kit.
The sheet brings four camouflage schemes, that is four complete sets of national insignia, individual codes and supplementary lettering. The printing is done in saturated, well covering colors on a thin carrier film; thanks to accurate register the small designs keep crisp outlines. The sheet of schemes enclosed in the package shows where the individual decals go.
A smooth gloss base is the foundation. Varnish the area under the decal with gloss clear coat, cut the design out close around the printing and dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds. Let it rest until the film releases from the backing, then slide it onto the dampened place, fine-tune the position with a soft brush and soak the surplus water up with absorbent paper. Lay a softener onto the engraved lines and panel joints. Once it has dried perfectly, unify the model with a matte or semi-matte varnish.
This is a decal sheet, not a kit. The model, paints, glue and varnishes are not included in the package.
