An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern two-seat DG-1000S sailplane in 1:48 scale from Brengun. The box contains parts in gray plastic, a clear canopy and a decal sheet for European service schemes.
The DG-1000 is a present-day two-seat sailplane of the double class, used for training and for sport flying. The DG-1000S version is fitted with a retractable auxiliary engine with a propeller, thanks to which it can take off on its own without an aerotow. It stands out for its elegant composite fuselage and its long slender wings with a high glide ratio.
Sailplanes tend to be mostly white, so aim for a smooth gloss surface and a good base coat. Sand the joints carefully so that they do not show under the light paint. Mask the clear canopy and glue it with a cement that does not fog clear plastic. Add and paint the cockpit details before closing the fuselage. Glue the long slender wings carefully in line, so that the finished model shows no twist.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
