EXPERT is the higher of the two levels at which New Ware offers masks for this aircraft. Against the basic version it is more extensive according to the manufacturer's designation. The masks are cut from kabuki paper, a thin masking material of mild tack that can be laid even on curved glass without wrinkling. The particular list of parts is given by the illustration on the packaging of the set.
The Invader has an extensive glazed nose and a cockpit with a great many dividing frames. That is exactly where laborious hand cutting of tape stretches into a whole evening and the result tends to be uncertain. A pre-cut mask removes that part of the work and, above all, makes the width of every frame consistent, which shows on a finished model more than anything else.
Wash the clear part in lukewarm water with detergent, rinse it and let it dry, so that no greasy film from the mold is left on the surface. Lay the masks on one at a time, press each one down around the perimeter with a blunt tool and check it against the light to see whether the edge seats everywhere. Spray in thin coats square on to the surface, not at an angle under the edge of the mask. Choose a faster-drying paint, because a long cure raises the risk of the film tearing as the mask comes off. If you are spraying the interior base shade as well, lay it on before the exterior camouflage.
The set is an accessory for painting a model. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
