A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masking templates (kabuki masks) in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer New Ware. It is not an airplane kit but a masking set for spraying a plastic model of the EA-6B Prowler carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft. The Basic version contains masks for the outer side of the cockpit glazing, for further clear parts and for the landing gear wheels. Check the exact package contents against the manufacturer's information.
The Prowler has a large four-seat canopy with many frames, and covering them by hand is slow work. The templates in kabuki tape copy the edges of the glazing exactly, so a sharp transition is created with no paint creeping underneath. The wheel masks make a clean coat on the tires and the hubs easier.
The Grumman EA-6B Prowler is a carrier-based electronic warfare aircraft derived from the A-6 Intruder attack aircraft. It has a four-seat cockpit (a pilot and three operators of the jamming systems) and served for a long time with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps to suppress hostile air defenses.
This is a masking set, not a kit. The aircraft model, paints and clear coats are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
