A resin ejection seat for the F-14D Tomcat (late) in 1:48 scale: a 3D-printed accessory for the cockpit of models of the F-14D carrier fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
A separate resin ejection seat made by 3D printing, intended as a replacement for the simplified seat from a plastic kit. It is not an aircraft model but a detail accessory for the cockpit of models of the late F-14D Tomcat version. The finely rendered belts, handles and mechanism save building up photo-etch.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American carrier fighter with variable-geometry wings; the F-14D Super Tomcat version was the most modern form, with new avionics and engines, and it served with the US Navy until 2006. The crew sat in high-altitude zero-zero class ejection seats.
Wash the part free of print resin residue, cut the print supports off and glue it with cyanoacrylate glue. A primer base is recommended, then the base color and toning with a wash to bring the belts and the handles out.
This is a resin accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and other parts are not included in the package.
