A detailed resin set of the cockpit for models of the Lockheed F-104C Starfighter fighter aircraft in 1:48 scale. It holds the complete cockpit tub, the instrument panel, the side panels, the ejection seat and photo-etched parts; it replaces the simplified plastic interior of a kit.
The F-104 Starfighter was a supersonic interceptor and attack aircraft with a characteristically slender fuselage and short wings. The C version served with the US Air Force as a fighter bomber; the tight cockpit with a multitude of instruments is a rewarding place for superdetailing.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spray the interior with an airbrush and bring the instruments out with a wash and a dry brush; do the sanding with respiratory protection. The set is more demanding to fit in, as it usually calls for adapting the inner walls of the fuselage.
It is supplied as a resin detail set for experienced modelers; paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
