A detail cockpit set for the F-105D Thunderchief in 1:48 scale from the Aires brand. It is a resin set complemented by photo-etched parts, intended for experienced modelers: it is not a standalone airplane model but an upgrade with which you replace the simplified cockpit from a plastic kit.
The resin castings bring a faithfully worked cockpit tub with side consoles, an instrument panel, a detailed ejection seat and fine photo-etched elements such as the seat belts and the control levers. The resulting cockpit has a markedly higher level of detail than the parts from the box and, once assembled and painted, it stays nicely visible under the glazing.
