The masks make it easier to spray the frames of the glazed cockpit and the wheel discs cleanly, without laborious cutting out. It is not a kit: it is an accessory used while painting a model that is finished or still under construction.
The Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk is an American attack aircraft designed with an emphasis on reduced radar detectability. It is characterized by the angular, faceted shape of its fuselage, made up of flat surfaces. It came to wider notice through its use in the conflicts at the turn of the 1980s and 1990s.
The pre-cut masks in self-adhesive kabuki tape are stuck onto the canopy glazing and the wheel discs, pressed into the engraved lines of the frames with a pointed wooden stick, and then the surface is sprayed. Once the paint has dried the tape is taken off and the framing stays clean and crisp. An airbrush gives an even coat; the masks can also be used for two-color camouflage masking.
This is a set of painting masks, not a model. The kit itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package and are obtained separately.
