A resin chin pod in the early version for the F-14A/B Tomcat in 1:48 scale: a detail accessory, not an airplane model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of the chin pod, the fairing under the nose, in the early version for the F-14A/B Tomcat carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic part with an accurate casting matching the early fit of the pod under the nose of the aircraft. Suitable for machines of the earlier service period. The maker is the Quickboost range of the Czech studio Aires.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American two-seat carrier fighter with a variable-geometry wing and for many years the main defensive fighter of the US Navy. The pod under the nose carried different sensors in different periods, so its shape and fit varied between individual machines and stages of service. The early version matches the earlier configuration.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, separate them from the casting block and clean up the mating surface. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways when sanding resin. Dry-fit the pod on the underside of the nose before gluing and adjust the seat if needed.
The set does not contain the airplane model itself; it serves as an accessory to the matching kit. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.
