This is not an aircraft kit but an add-on detail set from CMK combining resin parts, photo-etch and plastic. It contains the ground towing, or beaching, trolleys that were used to handle the heavy flying boat and to pull it up onto the shore. The set is intended for a model of the German six-engine flying boat BV 222 Wiking.
The Blohm & Voss BV 222 Wiking was one of the largest flying boats of the Second World War. Special ground trolleys and handling equipment were used to service it on the water and on the shore, and they make a rewarding subject for dioramas.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts and separate them from the casting blocks; take the photo-etch out carefully and bend it over an edge. Glue with cyanoacrylate, and use either cyanoacrylate or a cement made for photo-etch on the metal parts. Apply a base coat before painting; chipped edges and a fine patina will bring the metal parts to life.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
