An accessory set of wheels for models of the F-15A and F-15B fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the wheels from the plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-15 Eagle is an American twin-engined fighter intended for the fight for air superiority. The F-15A designation is carried by the single-seat version, while the F-15B is two-seat and serves mainly to train pilots. The landing gear wheels are clearly visible on a finished model, because the model stands on precisely those.
An accessory set of wheels for F-15A and F-15B models in 1:48 scale. The wheels are intended as a replacement for the parts from the plastic kit. The extent of the set and the kit it is intended for are given by the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are not made of polystyrene, so polystyrene cement does not work on them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder down, so that the mating surface stays flat. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will take hold poorly. If the tires have the settling under the weight of the aircraft suggested on them, turn the flattened part toward the ground and check that the model stands on all its wheels. The hubs and the tires are easier to paint separately and are joined only at the end.
The set suits modelers who are building the F-15A or F-15B in 1:48 scale and want the landing gear worked out better than the basic kit offers. Swapping the wheels is one of those modifications that are visible on a finished model at first glance.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
