1:48 F-15C Eagle Seat is a resin ejection seat for the cockpit of the single-seat Eagle. It replaces the simplified part from the injection mold and it is an accessory to the build, not a model of the aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The item on offer is a separate detail part for the cockpit. It holds a resin seat for the single-seat version of the Eagle fighter in 1:48 scale and it is set into a model under construction in place of the part from the box. The manufacturer is the Czech brand Special Hobby.
The cockpit of the single-seat Eagle is clearly visible under its large hinged canopy and the seat takes up the largest area in it. The real seat of the ACES II family has a broken headrest, guide rails led to the rear bulkhead and a quantity of levers, hoses and buckles around the pan. Injection-molded plastic cannot release those shapes from the mold without simplification, whereas a cast part renders them in sharp relief.
Wash the casting first in lukewarm water with detergent, so that no remains of mold release agent stay on the surface and the paint takes hold. Cut the casting block off with a fine saw, level the surface with abrasive paper and protect your breathing while sanding. The joint is held by cyanoacrylate glue, as ordinary plastic cement does not dissolve resin. After the primer has been sprayed, the shapes stand out with highlighting in a dark shade and with a dry brush, and the pan and the backrest are usually set apart in color from the supporting structure.
This is an accessory to the build: the model of the aircraft itself, paints and glue are not included in the package.
