This is not an airplane model but a resin detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. It contains precisely cast main and nose wheels for the F-15E, F-15I and F-15K variants. The castings have sharper tire and hub relief than the plastic parts from the base kit and are meant to replace them directly.
The wheels are clearly visible on the finished model, so extra detail pays off there. The tires have the flattened contact patch suggested, so the aircraft looks as if it really stood on a landing gear loaded by its own weight. The hubs and disks carry a finer structure than injected plastic usually achieves.
First wash the parts to remove mold release residue, carefully cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate), not with ordinary cement for plastic. Protect your airways when sanding resin. Apply a primer before painting, separate the hubs from the tires by masking, and the tread can be accented with dry pigment powder.
