A resin Aires cockpit set for the Me 262A Schwalbe in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a resin detail set for the interior of an existing kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires that completely refines the cockpit of a 1:48 model of the German Messerschmitt Me 262A Schwalbe jet fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers. The set combines resin castings with photo-etched parts and brings an accurate tub, instrument panel, seat and side consoles with fine detail.
The Me 262 was the first jet fighter in the world to go into operational service, powered by a pair of turbojets. The single-seat Me 262A Schwalbe, meaning swallow, served as an interceptor and as a fighter-bomber in the closing stages of the Second World War. Its modern cockpit, unusual for the time, makes a detailed interior a rewarding feature of the model.
These are resin parts for advanced builders. Wash them in warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean up the surfaces. Bond the resin parts with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and fold the photo-etched elements precisely. Protect your airways while sanding resin, as the dust is harmful. Paint everything before you close the fuselage and dry-fit the tub first.
The set does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant for finishing an existing kit in that scale.
