F-15E interior 1:48 (Eduard, a colored photo-etched set)

This is NOT a model of the aircraft but an add-on photo-etched set for the interior. It is a colored, preprinted and self-adhesive photo-etched set, which markedly refines the cockpit of the two-seat model of the F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:48 scale. The colored parts are ready to be stuck straight on, with no need for laborious hand painting of the instruments.

What the set is for

The set usually replaces the flat plastic instrument panels and side consoles with realistic, color-printed photo-etched parts and adds multi-part seat belts and other small details of the pilot's area. Once it is assembled, the cockpit therefore looks deeper and more faithful, which comes in useful especially on models with an open canopy.

Usage tips

The colored self-adhesive parts are separated carefully and stuck in place; for a firmer joint a drop of cyanoacrylate can be added. The multi-layer instrument panels are stacked on top of each other. Work with tweezers and a sharp knife, the parts are small.
