A detail cockpit set for the F-15E Strike Eagle multirole combat aircraft in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Aires. The resin accessory replaces the basic cockpit interior from a plastic kit with a more faithful, finely detailed assembly: the tandem stations of the pilot and the weapons systems operator, the instrument panels, seats and controls.
The F-15E Strike Eagle is an American two-seat multirole combat aircraft derived from the F-15 fighter series. The crew sits in tandem, one behind the other; the front seat flies the aircraft, the rear one works the sensors and the armament. The aircraft is meant for strikes against ground targets as well as for air combat.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks carefully and bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. The interior comes into its own once painted and the details picked out gently with a wash.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
