A set of reinforcement plates for a model of the F-16C of production blocks 30 and 32 in 1:48 scale. The elements are laid onto a finished paint coat.
Responsibility details are not available.
The single-seat F-16C was built in several successive production blocks, and the machines of blocks 30 and 32 form one of the widespread groups. On the skin of the real aircraft thin plates covering stressed places are clearly visible, mainly around the wing-to-fuselage transition and around the service panels. On a model it is a detail that immediately raises the impression the surface makes: a smooth finish without these overlays looks like a freshly built machine, whereas suggested plates say that the aircraft has flying hours behind it.
The package brings color printed elements in 1:48 scale that render the plates with their own thickness, an accurate outline and suggested fasteners. The layout matches blocks 30 and 32; on other production series the position and shape of the plates differ.
The elements are laid only onto a dried paint coat that is smooth and degreased. Cut them out with a sharp blade, carry them with tweezers and press them down gradually from one edge, so that no air stays under them. Go over rounded transitions with a cotton swab. The application procedure differs between the individual Quinta lines, so follow the manufacturer's instructions enclosed with this set.
The set will please modelers who build a particular machine from photographs and want to be right even in the small things on the surface. It contains only the plate elements; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
