Photo-etched seat belts in steel for a model of the F-22A in 1:48 scale. An accessory for a finished kit; it is not a kit on its own.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-22A is a single-seat twin-engine combat aircraft of the US Air Force built with an emphasis on low observability. On models its cockpit is among the places anyone notices first, because it is clearly visible under the large one-piece canopy. A seat without belts therefore looks empty, however carefully it is painted otherwise.
Seat belts for the seat of an F-22A model in 1:48 scale, produced as photo-etch in steel. They replace the belts molded onto the plastic part, which tend to be merely suggested and to blend into the shell of the seat. Steel photo-etch is springier than brass and holds its shape once bent, so you can leave the belts naturally draped over the edge of the seat and do not have to force them into an artificial position.
Cut the parts out of the fret with a sharp blade on a firm surface; do not break them out, or they will bend. Sand the remains of the tab down with a fine file after cutting. Bend over a straight edge, and with belts rather in small steps, so that the bend falls where you want it. They are bonded with super glue applied in a minute amount on the tip of a toothpick. Before painting, degrease the surface and use a base coat intended for metal, or the paint will not hold on the photo-etch and will rub off during handling.
The aircraft kit, the paints and the glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
