Dead Design 1:72 Mitsubishi A6M3 Model 22 Reisen Control Surfaces is a set of painting masks for painting the moving control surfaces of the Japanese Zero fighter in a different shade.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting masks from the firm Dead Design; it is not a kit. It is intended for plastic models of the Japanese carrier-based fighter Mitsubishi A6M3 Model 22 Reisen (Zero) in 1:72 scale. Unlike the classic masks for glazing, this set masks the moving control surfaces (the rudder, the ailerons, the elevator), so that they can be sprayed in a slightly different shade that faithfully imitates their doped fabric surface.
The Mitsubishi A6M Reisen, known in the West as the Zero, was the main Japanese carrier-based fighter of the Second World War, famous for its great range and its handling. The A6M3 Model 22 version combined a longer wing with a more powerful engine. The metal airframe had the covering of the ailerons and the control surfaces made of fabric, which differed in shade from the rest of the surfaces.
Lay the mask on the part and run the tip of a wooden stick along the molded lines so that it seats. Spray one shade first and add the second once the mask has been moved. That is how precise edges arise between the metal and the fabric surfaces without measuring anything by hand.
The model itself, the paints and the glue are not included in the package.
