Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II spray masks 1:48 - New Ware (Expert)

A comprehensive masking set from New Ware for building a model of the fifth-generation Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II fighter in 1:48 scale. The precisely die-cut kabuki masks in Japanese washi paper follow the glazing frames exactly, adhere without bubbles and leave no adhesive behind when peeled off. The Expert edition contains masks for the inner and the outer side of the glazing, for the frame seals, for the wheels and for other clear parts, so the one-piece canopy of the F-35 ends up with perfectly crisp colored frames.

Use

  • Apply the masks to the inner side of the glazing first, then to the outer frames.
  • Apply the color of the seal and of the frame in the correct order of coats.
  • Mask the wheels and the other clear parts, and remove the mask once the paint has set.
  • Spray in thin coats and peel the masks off while the paint is still flexible.

Who the set is for

For demanding F-35A modelers who want the frame of the large canopy fully resolved on both sides and clean wheel hubs without laborious masking with tape.

The set contains spray masks only. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.

FAQ

Expert additionally contains masks for the inner side of the glazing and for the frame seals, so the canopy has clean frames on both sides.

Kabuki masks are single-use. Remove them after spraying and the precise frames stay on the model.
