A set of color three-dimensional elements of the cockpit interior for a model of the F-4 Phantom II aircraft in 1:48 scale. The elements are printed and colored straight away, so on the model they replace the lengthy hand painting of small instruments and control panels. The raised relief lends the cockpit a depth that a flat print cannot reach, while staying thin and pliable.
The elements of the QD line are printed on carrier decal paper. The piece is cut out of the sheet, soaked for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slid off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds reliably on gloss clear of the Future, Klear or Tamiya X-22 type. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as the chemistry would attack the printed resin.
First rid the area the element is going onto of dust and grease, go over it with gloss clear and let it dry perfectly. Separate the element with a sharp blade, soak it and carry it over with tweezers, align the position while it is damp, and only then press it down, best with a soft tool from the center toward the edges, so that no air stays beneath it. On broken-up areas a drop of cyanoacrylate glue and patience will help. Which kit the set is matched to is stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
The kit, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
