The full extent of the interior set for the F-4N Phantom II in 1:48. Quinta Studio, printed colored panels and resin additions.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set from the Quinta Studio brand for builders who want the cockpit of a Phantom finished down to the last gauge. The three-dimensionally printed surface on decal paper comes already colored, and according to the name of the item resin parts accompany it. This item represents the wider of the two variants of the set on offer; a version of a smaller extent is also available.
The designation F-4N was carried by machines of the US Navy and Marine Corps that went through an extensive overhaul. The airframes were given strengthened joints and an extended life, modernized electronics were added and modifications improving behavior in maneuvering combat. In this way older examples were kept in service long after they would otherwise have faced retirement. It was precisely the instrument equipment of the cockpit that was among the places where the rebuild shows most.
Assemble the cockpit and unify it in color before the fuselage is joined. Rid the resin parts of the remains of the release agent by washing in warm water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and secure the joints with super glue. Leave the seats and frames darker, so that the colored panels come across as the bright center of the whole cockpit. Go by the maker's instructions, which belong with the set. Decal softener does not belong in the procedure; it would damage the printed resin.
You are buying an accessory for the inside of a model. The aircraft itself has to be obtained separately.
