A resin replacement wheel set from the Czech manufacturer CMK, intended for models of the North American F-86K Sabre Dog fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft model but a detail set that replaces the wheels from the base kit with more faithfully cast parts carrying fine relief on the tires and the hubs. Cast wheels also often give a realistic impression of being weighted.

What the set is for

The wheels are fitted to the landing gear in place of the plastic parts from the kit and so raise the realism of a model, above all on machines displayed with the landing gear down.

Usage tips

• Wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water and clear them of mold release agent residue.
• Cut the casting blocks off with a sharp knife or a saw and sand the surfaces.
• Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate).
• Protect your airways while sanding resin.
