The Vought F4U Corsair was an American carrier fighter of the Second World War, easily recognized by its inverted gull wing. It was powered by the powerful Pratt and Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine. The late versions of the F4U-1 included changes to the cockpit and the equipment that improved the view from the deck and the combat qualities. The Corsair served mainly in the Pacific with the US Navy and the US Marine Corps.
Glue the parts with thin cement for plastic; paint the radial engine and the cockpit interior and pick out their detail before closing up the fuselage. Decide in advance whether you will build the wings spread or folded into the deck position. The typical American naval schemes have a dark blue upper surface - after the gloss coat and the decals, bring out the panel lines with a wash and add wear around the wing roots.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
