A resin detail part, not an airplane kit. This finely cast resin set replaces the exhausts of the night version of the American Vought F4U-5 Corsair carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. The night machines had modified, damped exhausts that reduced glare for the pilot in the dark, and the casting captures them with hollowed openings more exactly than the parts from the box. The part is meant for advanced modelers with resin experience.
Damped night exhausts are a characteristic recognition feature of the night Corsairs and are right in view on the engine cowling. The resin casting offers the correct shape and open mouths, so you do not have to drill the exhausts out laboriously. Once painted in metallic and rust shades and lightly weathered, the burnt metal looks entirely natural.
