This is a resin detail set made for the plastic kit of the single-seat F/A-18 Hornet fighter in the A and C versions. The set refines selected areas of the model with faithfully cast parts carrying fine surface definition that injection-molded plastic cannot capture. The parts match the single-seat A and C versions, which differ from the two-seat machines in the family.
The F/A-18 Hornet is an American twin-engine carrier-based multirole aircraft able to perform both fighter and attack tasks. It is marked by a pair of canted vertical tails and by a sturdy structure adapted to operations from carrier decks. The A and C versions are the single-seat machines of the first Hornet generation.
First wash the parts to remove any mold release agent and cut off the casting blocks. Bond the resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with your airways protected. Check the fit of the parts before setting them into the model and adjust the walls slightly if need be. It pays to finish painting the fine details before the fuselage is closed.
