A resin open fuel access panel for the A-10A/A-10C Thunderbolt II, early version, 1:48 scale from Quickboost.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a detail accessory, not an aircraft model. The set contains a resin fuel access panel in the open position in the form used on the early version of the Thunderbolt II. It lets you show the servicing bay uncovered and add a point of interesting detail to the model.
The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a US ground-attack aircraft for close support of ground troops. The A-10A was the original variant and the A-10C the modernized version. An open access panel reveals the structure under the skin and looks convincing above all on a model shown during ground servicing.
Separate the part from the casting block and clean the edges up. Glue it with cyanoacrylate so that the open panel lines up with the skin. Set the inner space off in color from the outer finish, add a fine wash and any marks of wear for a realistic impression.
This is an accessory for plastic models. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
