The double-sided set 1:48 Fairey Fulmar Mk.II TFace from Eduard deals with the frames of the glazing from inside and outside.
Responsibility details are not available.
The TFace designation at Eduard says that the glazing is masked from both sides: the inner frames get the shade of the cabin, the outer ones the camouflage colors of the fuselage. That is exactly the difference against the basic version of the masks; otherwise it is the same kind of accessory for a model of the two-seat carrier fighter.
The Fulmar grew in design out of a light bomber, and on the decks of British aircraft carriers it filled the role of a fighter with a long range. The second production series had the Merlin 30 engine and better performance at altitude. The crew was made up of a pilot and an observer, and it was exactly the two-seat layout that gave the machine a strikingly long glazed cabin, which cannot be skimped on during a build.
Start with the inner side: spray the frames with the shade of the interior before you seat the canopy on the fuselage. Once dry, the outer shapes and the camouflage scheme come next. Because the two sides overlap each other, work with low pressure and a really thin coat of paint. On a long canopy it proves itself to look the edges over against the light and see whether a gap has been left anywhere.
