An accessory set from Eduard's LööKplus range for a model of the British Fairey Gannet AS.1/AS.4 carrier aircraft in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Fairey Gannet was a British carrier aircraft intended for hunting and destroying submarines. It reached naval aviation in the mid-1950s and on the deck of a carrier it could not be mistaken for anything else: it had a bulky fuselage with three separate canopies for its three-man crew, contra-rotating propellers and wings that folded twice over for stowage. Under the fuselage it carried a retractable radar housing. The AS.4 version was a later development of the original AS.1, and besides the Royal Navy the type also served with other countries.
The set belongs to the LööKplus range and is intended for a model of the Fairey Gannet AS.1/AS.4 in 1:48 scale. Which parts the package holds, how many there are and which kit the set is designed for are stated in the manufacturer's instructions; it pays to look into them before you start building, because accessory parts are as a rule fitted in place of parts from the kit, and therefore right in the first stage of assembly.
Try each part dry first and only then glue it; the fit tends to be tight and sanding a finished joint is already hard going. Accessory parts are not usually made of polystyrene, so cyanoacrylate holds more reliably than cement for polystyrene. Wash and degrease the surfaces before painting. The particular procedure for this set is described in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set suits a modeler who is building a Gannet in a large scale and wants the work on the most demanding details made easier by a ready-made part. It is an accessory to a kit; the model itself, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
