A figure base – a female figure in 1:48 scale is a small accessory for figures, which will serve as the starting part for building or modifying a figure of your own for a scene.

This is a small modeling accessory for figures, not a kit on its own. It offers the base of a female figure in 1:48 scale for building a figure of your own or for modifying one already built. There are substantially fewer female figures in the modeling range than soldiers, so it is a welcome part for civilian scenes, railway stations, villages and the rear area behind the front.
The base of a figure gives a modeler a freedom that a finished figure does not offer – the pose, the clothing and the headgear are all worked out by the modeler. Heads, hands, hats and footwear are sold in this range as separate accessories and can be combined with one another. Check the number of parts in the package on the packaging.
Cut the casting off the casting block with a fine-toothed saw, level the cut surface and go over the parting line with fine sandpaper. Then wash the casting in lukewarm water with a detergent, so that no release agent from the mold stays on the surface – otherwise the paint will not hold. It is glued with super glue, and it is good to roughen the surfaces in advance. A thin layer of filler or primer follows; only onto that are the shadows and highlights applied. In 1:48 scale work with a magnifier, a fine brush and heavily thinned paint in several layers – a thick layer would flood the details of the face and the folds.
This is an accessory for figures, not a kit on its own. Paints, glue and further parts are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
