This set of painting masks from MH models makes it possible to spray the Finnish aircraft national marking, the hakaristi, in 1:48 scale. The vol.IV package contains the marking in three sizes (matching 850 mm, 725 mm and 685 mm on the real aircraft) and so adds the smaller size variants to the range.
The hakaristi was the national marking of the Finnish Air Force, used from the end of the First World War until the middle of the 1940s. Because its size differed on various aircraft types, it is supplied in graded sizes. Spraying through a mask gives a sharper and more durable result than a decal.
The surface has to be smooth, clean and degreased. Seat the mask precisely and without bubbles, spray the underlying area first and then the color of the marking itself. Spray in thin coats at right angles to the surface and lift the mask before the paint has fully cured.
This is a masking accessory, not a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
