A set of precisely die-cut kabuki masks from Eduard for building a model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 fighter in 1:48 scale. Kabuki is a thin self-adhesive tape of Japanese washi paper that follows the shapes of the canopy frames perfectly, adheres with no bubbles and leaves no adhesive behind when peeled off. The set usually contains masks for the frames of the canopy and the windscreen and circular masks for the wheel hubs, which give sharp color edges with no paint creeping under the mask.

Use

• Place the masks with tweezers exactly on the frames of the canopy and the windscreen.
• Mask the wheel hubs with the matching circular mask.
• Spray in thin coats so that paint does not creep under the edge of the mask.
• Take the mask off soon after spraying, while the paint is still flexible.
