The set 1:48 Fw 190 A-2/3/4/5 masks for crosses is aimed at the first production blocks of the Anton and makes it possible to apply the crosses in sprayed paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of masking stencils for modelers who are bothered by the applied carrier film of a decal on an early Focke-Wulf. The markings are applied in paint, hold the same degree of sheen as the surrounding camouflage and nowhere create a step above the surface.
The A-2 to A-5 versions make up the line of development of the first two years of the machine's service. The A-3 series brought a more powerful variant of the BMW 801 engine, on the A-4 a short mast for a new radio set appeared on the vertical tail surface, and the A-5 received a lengthened engine mount, which shifted the center of gravity and freed up room for further equipment. It was precisely on these blocks that the aircraft earned its reputation as a difficult opponent over the English Channel. The differences between the individual blocks are small, and telling them apart calls for a careful comparison of photographs with the building instructions.
First let the camouflage harden, then place the markings according to period photographs or the scheme in the kit. Offer the stencils up one at a time and check the symmetry against the panel lines straight away. Take them off slowly and at a sharp angle while the paint is still fresh; the edge then does not peel. If some line should nevertheless bleed, let the coat harden and level it with the point of a scalpel run along a ruler.
