Responsibility details are not available.
A kit of the early version of the German fighter with a radial engine, which Eduard has placed in its ProfiPACK line. The brand is based in Obrnice near Most, and the Fw 190 is among the types it has been devoting itself to in 1:48 over the long term and systematically, version by version. This box covers a machine from the beginning of the type's combat career.
The Fw 190 entered service as a counterweight to fighters with liquid-cooled engines. Instead of a slender fuselage it was given a short, wide forward section with the two-row BMW 801 radial engine, a wide-track landing gear retracting into the wing and a cockpit with a good view. The A-2 version is significant for a change of armament: MG 151/20 cannons went into the wing roots, giving the machine substantially greater firepower than the machine guns of the previous form. These Fw 190s came to the English Channel at a time when the opponent still had no matching answer, and their deployment markedly changed the balance of forces over western Europe.
Before you close the fuselage up, think over whether you will leave the cockpit open; the interior is carefully worked out on this brand's kits and it would be a shame to hide it. The engine cowling fits better if the surfaces are lightly sanded before gluing. The German camouflage with hard-edged mottling on the sides of the fuselage is best done by airbrush at very low pressure from a short distance; anyone who does not trust themselves can use a masking putty shaped into soft edges. Spray a gloss varnish compatible with the paint used before the decals.
It is sold as a set of parts to be glued together and sprayed, not as a finished model.
