An injection-molded plastic model of the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-3 fighter in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, in the Weekend edition. The Weekend Edition is a simplified boxing focused on the plastic and the decals - it contains no photo-etched parts, masks or resin, so everything in it goes into the kit itself. Several marking options of German fighter units are offered. The exact number of parts is not stated here.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was among the best German fighters of the Second World War. The A-3 version of the early A series was powered by an air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine and was marked by good agility, a rugged structure and heavy armament in the wings and the fuselage. The Fw 190 proved itself as a fighter and as a fighter-bomber and was used on the Western and the Eastern Front. The A-3 batch falls into 1942, when the type was gaining the upper hand over its opponents of the day.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement for plastic, then fill and sand the joints. Glue the canopy glazing only after the frames are finished and protect it with masking tape. Apply a primer before painting, spray the German camouflage schemes (shades of the RLM range) with an airbrush in thin layers and mark out the soft transitions on the fuselage sides in advance. Bring out the panel lines with a flowing wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
