The Fw 190A-3 is one of the early production versions of the German single-seat Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter of the Second World War. On a model aircraft the cockpit is one of the few places that can be seen into once the canopy is closed, and it is exactly what this set is aimed at.
Color interior elements of the Quinta range for a model of the Fw 190A-3 in 1:48 scale. According to the name the elements are produced by 3D printing and carried on decal paper. They are applied the wet way: the part is dipped in lukewarm water for about fifteen seconds and slid off the paper into place. Do not use a decal softener with them, though; the chemistry would attack the printed resin. The exact extent of the elements and their placement in the cockpit are given in the manufacturer's instructions. The set suits even a model you are otherwise building without further modifications, because it replaces the hand painting of small details.
First paint the areas the elements will go onto, let them dry thoroughly and coat them with gloss clear coat; the element has no adhesive layer of its own and holds precisely on the gloss. Cut the part out, soak it briefly, slide it off the backing paper into place and press it down with a soft stick or a cotton swab, so that it seats into the hollows as well. Work one piece at a time and on a very articulated area secure the element with a drop of cyanoacrylate. Carry the small elements with tweezers with smooth jaws.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
