A set of pre-printed color photo-etched seat belts in steel from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not a kit or an aircraft model — it is a detail accessory that replaces the shapeless plastic or missing belts in a cockpit. The belts come printed in color from the factory, so they need no painting; you simply cut them from the fret, shape them and glue them onto the seat. Steel also holds a bend better than softer brass.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190A was one of the finest German fighters of the Second World War. It was powered by an air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine and, from its entry into service in 1941, was able to tip the balance against the Allied fighters of the day. German cockpits used characteristic straps with hardware, and rendering them faithfully enlivens the open cockpit of the Fw 190 noticeably.
Cut the part off with a sharp knife at the fret and form the bends over the edge of a ruler or with a bending tool. Bond with a tiny drop of super glue (cyanoacrylate), ideally a gel. Because of the size of the parts the set is better suited to advanced modelers; tweezers and a magnifier come in useful. Protect the color printing from sanding and from aggressive thinners.
This is a cockpit accessory, not a model. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
