About product

Fw 190D landing flaps PRINT 1:48 (Eduard)

A 3D-printed resin detail set from Eduard in 1:48 scale. This is not an aircraft model but an accessory that replaces the landing flaps of a plastic kit with more faithful parts in the execution of the later wooden flaps. Direct 3D printing gives finer detail than conventional castings.

What the set is for

The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D, nicknamed the Dora, was the high-altitude development of the Fw 190 series with the elongated inverted V12 Jumo 213. The set depicts the flaps lowered with a faithful structure and adds an effect to the model that draws the eye above all when seen from below.

Building tips

Separate the parts carefully from the print supports, clean them up and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your breathing while sanding; lay down a primer before painting. Decals imitating the wood of the flaps are included as well.

Who the set is for

  • Builders of the Fw 190D in 1:48 scale
  • Anyone after faithful lowered flaps
  • More advanced modelers used to 3D-printed parts
  • Enthusiasts of late Luftwaffe machines

A 3D-printed detail set. It contains neither the model itself nor paints or glue, unless stated otherwise.
