A set of photo-etched interior parts in 1:48 scale for the model of the Japanese twin-engined bomber G4M, known under the Allied designation Betty.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Mitsubishi G4M is a Japanese twin-engined bomber of the Second World War that the Allies listed under the designation Betty. It was built for long range, and that came at the expense of survivability: the early versions had no protected fuel tanks and the machine was therefore vulnerable to hits in combat. The fuselage has extensive glazing from the nose right back to the tail, so on a finished model more of the inside is visible than on most bombers of its day.
Photo-etched parts from thin metal sheet which, according to the name, are aimed at the interior of the model in 1:48 scale. Sheet is made in thicknesses a plastic part cannot reach, so it suits exactly those elements that are meant to be thin or pierced, and surfaces with fine texture. The manufacturer's enclosed instructions state the range of parts, where they go and which kit they are cut for.
Separate the parts with a sharp blade on a hard backing, not with nippers. Level off what is left after separation with a fine file. Make the bends along the pressed score lines in a bending tool or between the jaws of flat tweezers. Cement for polystyrene will not join metal, so use super glue or epoxy in a small amount. Parts that stay in bare metal should be degreased and primed before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Finish the whole interior before you glue the fuselage halves together, because once it is closed you cannot get inside any more.
The aircraft kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
