A set of two precisely turned metal barrels by the Polish manufacturer MASTER in 1:48 scale, representing the German 7.92 mm MG 17 aircraft machine gun. It is neither a model nor a kit: it is a detail accessory that replaces plastic machine gun barrels on models of Luftwaffe aircraft. Turned metal has a faithful shape, a clean bore at the muzzle and sharp edges with no molding seams. There are 2 pieces in the package. The base model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
The MG 17 was the standard fixed aircraft machine gun of the Luftwaffe in the Second World War, adapted for synchronized fire through the propeller disc and for installation in the wing. With its 7.92 mm caliber it was part of the basic armament of a number of fighters at the start of the war, among them the early versions of the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and the Focke-Wulf Fw 190. A turned barrel brings out this small but conspicuous element of the armament.
This is an accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package.
