The Aires German aircrafts radio set 1:48 — a resin set of radio equipment for German aircraft, for refining the interior of models in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of radio equipment from the Czech maker Aires. It holds detailed castings of the radio sets and instruments of the kind carried aboard German aircraft. It serves to bring the compartment behind the cockpit to life, which on many models stays empty. It is an accessory for more experienced modelers for models in 1:48 scale.
Onboard radio equipment was part of the standard fit of wartime aircraft. On German machines of the Second World War the radio sets and the related instruments were usually housed in the compartment behind the cockpit, where they are clearly visible when the access opening or the panel is open.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
