Rob Taurus 1:48 Gladiator Mk.I/II is a vacuum-formed clear canopy for building the British biplane. It is not a model of an aircraft but a refining accessory.
Responsibility details are not available.
A vacuum-formed (vacuform) clear canopy in 1:48 scale from the Czech maker Rob Taurus. It is intended for building the Gladiator fighter biplane in the Mk.I and Mk.II versions. It replaces the production cockpit canopy with a thinner and optically cleaner part. It is not a model of an aircraft but a detail accessory.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last British fighter biplane to enter combat service, at the turn of the 1930s and 1940s. Its enclosed cockpit set it apart from the older open biplanes. Gladiators served on a number of battlefields in the opening phase of the Second World War.
The molding is cut out with a sharp knife along the outline, and the edges are sanded and polished. The thin part makes it possible to show the cockpit open. It is glued with glue for clear parts, which does not fog the plastic; the frames are masked before spraying.
This is a standalone accessory. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
