An injection-molded plastic kit of the British Gloster Gladiator biplane fighter in the Mk.I version, in 1:48 scale from the brand I Love Kit. It is a modern mold with finely engraved detail and clear parts for the canopy. The decals allow the machine to be built in several color schemes.
The Gloster Gladiator was the last biplane fighter in the armament of the Royal Air Force. Introduced in the second half of the 1930s, it was already being outclassed by the arriving monoplanes when it entered service, yet it saw combat at the start of the Second World War on a number of fronts. It was marked out by an enclosed cockpit and good agility.
A biplane calls for careful seating of the struts between the wings and for tensioning the bracing wires, which give the model realism. Glue the parts with a thin modeling cement and protect the glazing with a mask. After spraying the base color with an airbrush, apply the camouflage, the decals and a fine panel wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
