1:48 markings for the Greek Rafale in the form it carried during the allied Ramstein Flag exercise in 2024.
Responsibility details are not available.
Greece became the first European customer to acquire the Rafale through a combination of used machines from French stocks and newly built examples. The aircraft serve with a squadron at the Tanagra base north of Athens, where they replaced older types of French origin, so continuity with the existing maintenance and training experience was preserved. The Ramstein Flag exercise in 2024 was one of the large allied events, and the Greek machines were given matching additional markings for it.
The print includes the markings tied to that event together with the ordinary national insignia, numbers and technical lettering for the type. You can therefore put together a whole machine as it looked at that event. The Greek examples differ from the French ones only in details of the markings, so the sheet will serve well even for those who have so far built nothing but French subjects.
Modern prints tend to have a very thin carrier layer which, after a longer soak, starts to curl of its own accord. Moisten the element only briefly, therefore, let it rest on paper for a while and only then slide it onto the model. Patience saves more material here than any product.
The package consists of the sheet alone. You choose the plastic Rafale basis in 1:48 scale at your own discretion and transfer the markings onto it after the paint has been finished and has cured. Have a decal softener in reserve as well, because the area around the air intakes on this aircraft has fairly pronounced changes of shape.
