Grumman F-14D Tomcat SPACE 1:48 is a set of colored three-dimensional decals from Eduard for a model of the carrier-based fighter. It is an accessory for a kit, not the model itself.

A set from the SPACE range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard, made up of colored three-dimensional decals that are applied directly to the parts of a plastic kit. The range is aimed above all at cockpit equipment, where the decals take the place of laborious painting of instruments, panels and side consoles. This is not a model of the aircraft but an accessory for a model in 1:48 scale that you already have or will obtain separately.
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat was a two-seat carrier-based fighter with a variable-geometry wing, operated from aircraft carriers. The F-14D version was the last production and upgrade level of the family. It received General Electric F110 engines, a new radar and digital cockpit equipment, so the stations of both crew members differ from the older versions. It is exactly these differences that are clearly visible under an open canopy on a model in 1:48 scale.
Leave the surface under the elements smooth and painted, so that an element adheres well and does not form air bubbles. Moisten only the backing paper under the element, lift the parts off with tweezers and blot the excess moisture with the corner of a paper towel. Fix them with white PVA glue; a decal softener does not belong on them, as its chemistry attacks the printed resin. A finished interior is usually not varnished, so as not to subdue the color print and the fine relief.
The accessory is supplied without a kit. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
