This resin set is a jettisonable drop tank for the Hawker Hurricane. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory meant to extend the underwing load of a kit. The casting has a smooth surface and finely suggested detail of the attachment points and the filler neck.
The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that made its name in the Battle of Britain and on other fronts. External fuel tanks under the fuselage or the wings extended the range of the aircraft on escort and intercept missions and on long ferry flights.
Wash the part to remove mold release, cut off the casting block and clean up the mating surface. Use super glue (cyanoacrylate) to fix it. The tank usually carries the same camouflage as the undersurfaces of the aircraft, so it is best painted at the same time as the model.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
