The Hawker Hurricane was a British fighter that carried the main burden of the defense of the islands in 1940 and then served on every front where the British were engaged. The main gear retracted inwards into the wing and the bays and legs were partly closed by shaped doors. On a finished model they are clearly visible, because the aircraft stands on extended gear and the doors face the viewer.
This is an accessory set of landing gear doors for 1:48 scale from the Quickboost line, under the manufacturer's part number QB48941. The doors replace the corresponding parts from the kit and they concentrate on a thinner wall and a sharper edge, which is exactly what an injection-molded part lacks. Which kit the set is cut for should be checked in the manufacturer's instructions, and lay the parts up dry first.
The parts are not polystyrene, so cement for plastic models will not join them; use super glue. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest away, so that you do not shorten the edge of the door. Before painting, wash and degrease the parts and apply a base coat. Painting is easier if you hold the doors on a wooden stick and glue them onto the model only at the end.
An accessory set is supplied. The aircraft model, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
