A resin insert from the Czech brand Aires in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a detail accessory for more experienced modelers - a faithfully cast main landing gear bay for a model of the British naval fighter Hawker Sea Fury. It replaces the shallow plastic bay from the box.
The wheel bay is the space into which the wheel retracts. The resin insert adds faithful structure, ribbing, lines and hydraulics that injection-molded plastic cannot render. The set is intended for the matching Sea Fury plastic kit in 1:48.
Separate the parts from the casting blocks, wash off the mold release agent and fit and align them before the wing is closed. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand the resin with respiratory protection and paint the bay before final assembly.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
