This is a combined accessory set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:48 scale which, under the LööKplus designation, brings several partial upgrades together in one package. The set is not a kit; it is used on a plastic model of the Hawker Tempest Mk.V fighter aircraft that you already have. The basis is a cockpit upgrade with an instrument panel with printed detail and replacement wheels of the early type, as the name says. The advantage of a combined package is that several partial upgrades arrive together in a single box.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.V was a British fighter aircraft with the Napier Sabre H engine and with a thin wing that gave it high speed at low altitudes. It was used for attacks on ground targets as well as for intercepting fast targets. The landing gear wheels went through a change during production, so the choice of the early or the late type matters for the fidelity of a particular machine, and modelers keep track of it.
Install the cockpit parts before the fuselage halves are glued together and try the seating dry. Do not sand the printed surfaces and do not touch them with your fingers. On the replacement wheels first remove the casting remnants and check whether the contact patch of the tire matches the intended attitude of the model; if the wheels are made with a bulge from the weight of the aircraft, they have to be fitted in the correct rotation so that the contact patch sits down on the base. Glue the wheels with super glue. We recommend painting the tires in a dark gray shade rather than pure black, as it looks more faithful on a model.
